Meet The Founder
Love at First Bloom was born from Vanessa's passion for creating meaningful moments through flowers. She believes florals have the power to bring people together, spark connection, and transform ordinary events into unforgettable experiences.
Before founding Love at First Bloom, Vanessa spent 14 years as a Surgical Technologist. After the birth of her daughter, she experienced postpartum depression (PPD), a season that led her to rediscover healing through creativity and flowers. While she loved caring for others in the operating room, she felt called to pursue a more creative path, one that combined artistry, hospitality, and human connection. With the support of her husband, Ulysses, she turned that vision into what has become one of New Jersey's leading experiential floral companies.
As a first-generation Colombian American, Vanessa's love for flowers was inspired by childhood summers spent in Medellín, Colombia, where she celebrated the beauty and tradition of La Feria de las Flores. Those experiences continue to influence every floral activation, installation, and event she designs today.
Now, as the founder of New Jersey's very first flower truck, Vanessa leads Love at First Bloom with a simple mission: to create immersive floral experiences that bring beauty, connection, and unforgettable moments to brands, businesses, and celebrations across New Jersey and New York.
